Welcome to the TTAP Assistive Technology Act Acquisition System
The purpose of the device loan program is to let potential AT users try-out devices prior to purchase, have access to a backup system when their device is in for repairs, or have access to a device while waiting for their device to be delivered. When individuals with disabilities, their families, and qualified professionals are able to borrow AT devices and assess them in the individual's normal environments, they are then better able to determine if the devices meet their needs.
How does the short-term device loan program work?
- Follow the Borrow a device link. The link takes you to an online database of the items in our loan library.
- Create an account, or login if you already have one.
- Search for the item(s) you want to check out and add them to your cart.
- If items you are requesting are currently checked out, you can elect to join the waitlist cue to receive the item when it is returned.
- Click checkout and complete the request.
- Once you submit the request, an email notification is sent to the Loan Library Coordinator.
- The Coordinator will process the requests in the order received.
- TTAP pays shipping both ways. There will be a return label in the box when you receive it. Save the box and packing materials to return ship the equipment. Shipping can take 3 to 14 days. You are welcome to pick up/drop off the equipment at the TTAP office in Austin. Please indicate you want to pick up in person in the notes section at checkout.
- Please complete the satisfaction survey provided in the box upon completion of your loan. The data collected from the survey is shared with TTAP's grantor and may drive further support of the program.
