The Lending Library lets Iowans and their support teams borrow assistive technology devices and try them out before deciding to buy. This helps you see if a device is a good fit for you, your loved one, your client, or student.
Looking for Apps Instead of Devices?
BridgingApps is a program and website of Easter Seals Greater Houston that provides resources, education, and information on apps and mobile devices to help people with disabilities target and improve skills and reach their highest levels of physical, social, and cognitive development.
To explore more technology tools and tips offered by BridgingApps; including helpful YouTube instructional videos, blogs about technology, and more, click “Visit Main Site” at bottom of any page of the BridgingApps app database.
How it Works
- You can create a free account and request devices. Account is active after requesting devices
- You can check out up to five pieces of equipment for 30 days, completely free.
- This gives you a hands-on chance to try the device first and see how well it works in daily life before purchasing it from a vendor.
- The Lending Library includes a wide range of tools—from simple, low-tech items to more advanced, high-tech devices—that support many different activities.
- You can explore the Lending Library inventory online or in person, whichever works best for you.
