The Focus 40 Blue Refreshable Braille Display is
a compact 40-cell refreshable braille display. It connects via USB 2.0 or
wirelessly with Bluetooth® 2.0, with 20 hours of battery life. All buttons can
be individually configured in JAWS to set up hot keys for specific functions.
It has 10 configurable hot keys which gives instant access to commands. The 5th
Generation of the Focus 40 Blue Braille Display is more rugged and stronger
than ever. The housing is built from aluminum and steel with added bumpers to
absorb shock and physically isolated the Braille cells to create a Braille
Display to meet the demands of the active user. Individuals can also use the
Perkins-style keyboard for effortless Braille text input to control the
computer. When the Focus 40 Blue is combined with JAWS®, it becomes the
ultimate in speech and Braille access to a computer. The new Scratchpad feature
lets the individual take notes and read books even when not connected. It is
14.5 x 3 x 0.75 inches and weighs 1.24 lbs.
