Device Description
This item is part of OK ABLE Tech's Respite Kits, a project in partnership with the Oklahoma Human Services Community Living, Aging, and Protective Services division. Only individuals who provide care may borrow this item. Caregivers may include those caring for a parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, friend, or anyone else. Applicants must be actively providing care—whether part-time, in the evenings, on weekends, or full-time. Wireless motion sensors can be placed under the bed or at the door to monitor loved ones getting out of bed or leaving the room. They transmit signals to receivers within a 918ft range. The bed alarm does not sound in the patient's room to avoid startling them. The motion sensor performs a self-test when turned on, indicated by a flashing light for 20 seconds. Test the sensing range and direction before fixing the sensor in place.
