Switch Adapted Ball Pitching Machine

Device Description

Switch Adapted Pitching Machine The Switch Adapted Pitching Machine is a ball launcher adapted for external switch access, functioning as assistive technology to enable an individual to participate in throwing and batting games, inclusive physical education, and target or fetch activities by activating consistent interval pitches. After the unit is powered on, pressing and holding an external switch launches a ball approximately every seven seconds, with the first pitch potentially taking slightly longer, and it can be paired with a latch timer if continuous pitching after a single press is desired. A flashing red indicator light signals when a ball is about to pitch, and the launch angle can be adjusted to support different targets and skill levels. Individuals with limited hand use, upper limb weakness, motor planning needs, or those working on timing and visual tracking may benefit in home, school, or therapy environments. The machine includes six lightweight aero strike practice balls and the chute can hold up to nine at a time; use only the included style of practice balls rather than regulation baseballs or tee balls. The assembled unit measures approximately seven and three quarters inches high by nine and one half inches wide by nine and seven eighths inches deep, and the included balls are about two and three quarters inches in diameter.
