Device Description
| The OmniCuff is a device that allows individuals with adaptive hand needs to securely hold and use everyday objects. It enhances daily independence and can help make activities like eating, grooming, and technology use more accessible. To use the OmniCuff, the user can wear the adapter, which is Velcro adjustable. The adapter can then slide onto the connectors, which hold everyday items. The connectors are stored on the basemount, which stores commonly used objects in an upright position. There are four ways to connect items to the connectors—double sided adhesive, Velcro straps, screw mount, and other more specific ways to connect, like with the cup holder. The meal kit includes a quick-release mount, fork, spoon, knife, and cup holder. The technology kit includes a quick-release mount, a phone mount, a pen/pencil holder, a stylus holder, and two universal connectors. The general kit includes four universal connectors, 2 connector extenders, and a quick-release mount. All three kits include a hand adapter and two Basemounts, one large and one small. |
