Unity AAC App for iPad
The Unity AAC App for iPad is an assistive technology tool delivering a research-based augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system using the Unity® vocabulary. It supports individuals in expressing themselves across all stages of language development by providing a flexible platform that grows with the user.
This app can benefit people with communication challenges such as apraxia, cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and other conditions affecting expressive or receptive language. It's suitable for a wide age range.
System Requirements
• Compatible with devices running iPadOS 15.0 or later.
Note
Unity AAC App listed is only available to trial on an iPad through Oklahoma ABLE Tech’s Device Loan Program.
• The Unity System is also available to trial on Accent devices, and Via devices (upon request)

o Sequenced: More advanced, offering thousands of words including full word endings.
• Voice Output: Includes high-quality speech using Acapela® and Almagu voices.
• Vocabulary Builder™: Lets users focus on a smaller, developmentally appropriate set of vocabulary, reducing visual clutter.
• Word Finder™: Quickly locate words within the system and practice accessing them.
• Realize Language™ Integration: Enables data logging and language use tracking for progress monitoring.
• Built-in Tutorial: Helps new users get started with the Unity vocabulary system and motor planning.
• Reduced Keystrokes Feature: Improved navigation with access targeted to just three touches for selecting words.
